Tjolöholm Castle

Sweden’s leading Arts and Crafts property.

The Tjolöholm estate dates back to the 13th century, when it was mentioned in the Danish King Valdemar’s land registry. The castle was built between 1898 and 1904 in Tudor style by James Fredrik and Blanche Dickson and is to this day Sweden’s leading Arts and Crafts property. The castle have been the scene of great movies like Lars von Triers Melancholia.

As part of the castles 110 year anniversary, Kodex updated the Tjolöholms Castle identity. The logotype, based on the Dickson’s family mark, a heart with wings, was given a design that symbolizes the castles heritage and surroundings, like a tartan pattern, the sea and gardens etc.
